Laura teaches violin, viola, fiddle, and piano lessons privately on the east side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She draws upon a wide variety of influences in her teaching, including Suzuki, Mimi Zweig, Stacia Spencer, Paul Rolland, Gerado Ribeiro, Jeanyi Kim, Martin Norgaard, Craig Duncan, and all of her teachers along the way. She enjoys teaching children and adults at all levels, ranging from first notes to advanced concert repertoire. She also incorporates fiddling into lessons depending on the level of interest of each student.

Before beginning violin lessons, young children should already know their letters, and should have been in some sort of structured learning environment. With young children, it can also be very helpful to have parents present in lessons, so that they can help with practice between lessons.

Laura also coaches chamber music and teaches group lessons. She has coached sectionals for the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, led fiddle workshops for the Lawrence University Fiddle Club, taught general music in London primary schools through the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's FIFTHS Programme, has taught in free after-school music programs in Chicago and Milwaukee modeled after Venezuela's El Sistema program, and helped older adults suffering from memory loss create a song cycle in London through the Turtle Song Project.

Currently, she teaches group violin classes at Tamarack Waldorf School and at Stornmouth Elementary School, private lessons at Downtown Montessori Academy and at Brass Bell Music Store, as well as on the east side of Milwaukee.
